County Literary Art Council’s Writers in Performance series invites the community to hear poems, stories and memoirs of LSC-Montgomery student veterans. The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place on Wednesday, November 11, at 7 p.m. in the General Academic Center (building G), room 102, at LSC-Montgomery.
LSC-Montgomery creative writing instructors
Cliff Hudder and Dave Parsons have created a veterans writing contest. They will introduce the finalists and present
the winners each with a check. Each of the recognized writers will read their
works. Hudder will judge the prose and Parsons will judge the poetry.
Writers in Performance is a reading program
dedicated to bringing the most distinguished minds and their bright visions to
the citizens of Montgomery County through thought-provoking literature and
cultural diversity. The series’ events are made possible by the partnerships between
Lone Star College-Montgomery, SWIRL literary and arts journal, the Conroe
Commission on Arts & Culture, the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance, and the Montgomery
County Literary Arts Council.
