Let your child put their best foot forward during “Modern Model,” a Discovery College camp session at Lone Star College-Montgomery offered next week, July 22-25, from 1-5 p.m. The class is geared for 7- to 12-year-olds and costs $89 (plus a $5 supply fee).
Taught by Miss Fort Worth, Rachel Garrett, the class will teach the importance of proper manners and healthy lifestyle choices, as well as interviewing skills and how to model. Students will participate in a mock photo shoot and fashion show during the last day of camp.
Garrett has been involved in the Miss America organization for nine years. She’s won several awards and was in the top seven finalists at this year’s Miss Texas pageant. Garrett holds an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Other Discovery College camp sessions are still available, including videography, Robotics, LEGO® Engineering, art, and science. The last week of camp is August 5-8.
Parents must register their child in person at the LSC-Montgomery campus in the continuing education office (Building E, Room 205).
