Lone Star College-North Harris fine arts drama department is once again producing a full-scale musical to be showcased for six days in October. This fall’s offering is the rock musical, “RENT.”
This Tony Award winning production with music and lyrics by Johanthan Larson is based on Puccini’s opera “La Bohème.” The plot involves an assemblage of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side.
Show times are 8 p.m., Oct. 13 through 18 and 2 p.m. Oct. 17 and 18 in the LSC-North Harris Performing Arts Theatre. The college is located at 2700 W.W. Thorne Blvd., one-half mile south of FM 1960 E, between Aldine-Westfield and Hardy Roads. All tickets are $15. This performance not recommended for small children.
