Lone Star College-Tomball’s Theatre Program will hold open auditions for its spring musical, Fiddler on the Roof. Auditions are open to the public and will take place Thursday, May 3, at 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. They will be held on the LSC-Tomball campus in the Black Box Theater E-171.
Those auditioning should be prepared to read from a script, learn and sing a song, and learn and perform a dance number.
Fiddler on the Roof is set in a small Russian village. Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
Evening rehearsals for the show begin on June 4. Performances will be held July 12-15 in the LSC-Tomball Performing Arts Center.
LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway, at the intersection of State Highway 249 and Zion Road. For more information on the Fiddler on the Roof musical auditions, contact Sherri White at 281.357.3654 or Sherri.R.White@lonestar.edu
