LSC-Kingwood offers “bridge” program for seniors

HOUSTON (May 13, 2022) – The Lone Star College-Kingwood Summer Bridge program will prepare graduating seniors for college-level work.

The workshop will take place on July 14-Aug. 21 from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Students will participate in college prep math and English workshops, take leadership development sessions, and earn their first three college credits. Additionally, they will receive lunch, textbooks, and the opportunity to participate in fun activities. The Summer Bridge program is free; participants’ EMCID scholarships will cover tuition and fees.

“Our current students will share their experiences, serve as mentors, and give attendees the ‘real deal’ about college life,” said Danielle Ward, TRIO manager at LSC-Kingwood.

LSC-Kingwood will host two information sessions on May 17 and June 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Conference Center. Attendees will be able to speak with representatives and enroll in the program. To sign-up for one of the sessions, visit https://bit.ly/3wjbdAY.
