The Fall semester is underway, but it’s not too late to register for classes. Next Start classes at Lone Star College-University Park (LSC-University Park) allow students to stay on track and fit their course work into a schedule that works for them.
With 14-, 12- and 8-week sessions, Next Start classes accommodate students who need flexibility and convenience in their schedule. Like traditional 16-week classes, Next Start courses work well whether students are pursuing an associate degree, seeking a workforce certificate, or planning to transfer to a four-year college or university.
Next Start classes are available in-person, online, and as a hybrid format. Students can choose from more than 360 courses in art appreciation, business, communication, computer programming, drama, engineering, English, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), geology, government, history, math, music, psychology, sociology, speech, and more.
The 14-week Next Start session begins the week of Monday, Sept.12; The 12-week session begins Monday, Sept. 26; The 8-week session begins Wednesday, Oct. 26. All fall classes end the week of December 18.
Dr. Shah Ardalan, LSC-University Park President, understands some students may need additional time to start their fall semester due to work and other personal commitments.
