Family fun can be found at Lone Star College-CyFair Theatre’s summer children’s show “Aesop’s Fables” on stage July 26 through July 31.
This active and energetic play embraces the art of theatre with good story-telling, creative thinking, collaboration and artistic inspiration.
Using some of the original stories as a starting point, playwright and director Brian Byrnes creates an awesome theatrical journey for Aesop and three of his young actor friends. Aesop’s master, Jadmon, has set a strict deadline for Aesop to create five new stories overnight. With the help of his friends, they create a variety of stories, each with its own unique theatrical presentation.
Performances are set for 10 a.m. Monday through Friday and noon Saturday. Performances will be held in the Main Stage Theatre located in the Center for the Arts, at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Tickets are $5 each or $4 for groups of 20 or more. Reserved and group seating are available.
