Lone Star College System has a new way of communicating with its public – through Twitter, the social networking site that’s growing by thousands every day.
LSCS site will use Twitter to deliver news and other important information to the community – often as soon as the news occurs or even when the event it actually happening.
Twitter updates will be sent under the name “LSCnews” and will include, for example, information about registration, updates about new college appointments, and weather news and other emergency updates as needed.
“This is another means for Lone Star College to better inform students and the community,” said Steve Lestarjette, associate vice chancellor of public affairs.
