Enjoy time traveling through a history lesson on current Middle East issues and then virtually tour the Cat Café capitol of Texas in Lone Star College-CyFair’s library workshops this June.

Travel abroad and back in time June 3 with LSC-CyFair History Professor Dr. William Schulz to explore the history and conflicts between Rome and Persia and their respective successor states. In this timely “Legacies of Conquest” presentation, Dr. Schulz will discuss how current politics and wars in the Middle East have a long history dating back to the Greeks and Romans.

Then join Librarian Regina Vitolo June 17 for coffee, donuts and a virtual tour of the Houston area’s burgeoning cat-café scene in celebration of National Adopt-A-Cat month. With three of these feline hangouts close to home, attendees can check visiting a cat café off their bucket list.

The free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are all held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC Room 131.
