Recently, more than 50 graduates crossed the stage to the applause of approximately 500 officials, family members and friends. The North Harris College adult education program offers any person passing their General Education Development test the opportunity to wear a cap and gown and participate in an official graduation commencement. While some students choose not to partake in the ceremony, the students who do participate enjoy an emotional and exciting event that they thought was lost to them forever.
