The award-winning Lone Star College–CyFair Dance Team recently placed fourth in the Junior College Division of the College Dance Nationals held at the University of North Texas.
“The dance team worked extremely hard for the competition,” said Lisa Brashier, team coach. “The competition is tough, and the team proved that they can compete with the best. I am proud of all they have done this year, mainly the hard work ethic and great attitudes that they maintained.”
The Lone Star College–CyFair Dance Team is a student group that supports the college as they perform at all home basketball games as well as community events and college functions.
“Nationals were awesome,” said team member Jessica Hughes. “The team came together and worked hard. It was so much fun seeing so many teams perform and then being able to compete!”
The Lone Star College–CyFair Dance Team will be having tryouts June 29 at the Barker Cypress campus.
“Tryouts definitely prepare you for contest because you have to perform and compete,” said Hughes. “If you are not able to push yourself, then you will not do your ultimate best. Doing your ultimate best is the key to competing along with performing and team work.”
