Lone Star College-Kingwood is gearing up to host a weeklong Registration Festival. “Reg Fest,” which takes place August 5th through 12th, is designed to help LSC-Kingwood students and their families prepare for the fall semester.
All week staff will be on hand to offer assistance with Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising and more. Students will have a virtual option, and information sessions will also be provided in Spanish. The idea is to help walk students and their families step by step through the enrollment process in a positive and fun way.
Ernesto Valenzuela, Interim Vice President Student Success, says the festival’s main objective is to create an inviting environment for incoming students and their families. “The festival is a valuable opportunity for new students to fulfill their admission requirements, seek guidance from Academic Advisors, and successfully register for classes. This event plays a crucial role in supporting and guiding our new students as they embark on their transformative journey as Lone Star College students.”
Students will have the opportunity to learn about Student Services such as the Veterans Center and Disability Services, as well as tour the fitness center and other parts of campus. Families are welcome to come and enjoy games, food, and snacks while getting to see the campus and learn what it means to be a Kingwood Coyote.
LSC-Kingwood will also offer “Super Saturday,” registration and orientation events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.Classes begin August 28th.
The Registration Festival takes place at all 7 LSC campuses and online. You can find the full LSC-Kingwood Registration Festival schedule here.
