HOUSTON (March 29, 2022) – Lone Star College-Kingwood will host two public events to educate the community on available programs and services.

The Saturday Showcase will take place on April 9, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and will include campus tours, food, and prizes. The annual Open House is on Tuesday, April 12, from 4-7 p.m. At both events, attendees will visit various workforce and academic booths. They will meet with representatives to discuss the programs, requirements, opportunities, etc. The college will also host rotating sessions on various services such as registration, advising, and financial aid. All activities will take place in the Student Conference Center.

“We are very excited to provide two opportunities for community members to visit our college, check out our offerings, and speak with campus representatives,” said Dr. Melissa Gonzalez, LSC-Kingwood president. “Additionally, we will have the infrastructure for interested attendees to enroll in summer and fall classes.”

LSC-Kingwood offers a variety of workforce programs, credit, and continuing education (high-demand, fast track) classes. These pathways can lead to an associate degree, transfer hours to a four-year institution, or a new career. Courses are available in various formats, face-to-face, online, and hybrid.

“Our classes, resources, campus events, and other services help us achieve our number one goal, student success,” Gonzalez said. “We can assist you regardless of where you are in your educational journey.”

Fall enrollment begins April 8. Registration for the May mini-term and summer courses are now open. Offerings are available at the main campus and its two satellite facilities, LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC-Process Technology Center.
