Lone Star College SBDC to host Small Business Expo

Running or starting a small business can seem overwhelming, but there is help available. The Lone Star College-Small Business Development Center is hosting the Small Business Expo to help business owners learn ways to improve their bottom line.

“This is a must-attend event for anyone operating a small business, or thinking of starting one,” said Miguel Lopez, LSC-SBDC executive director. “In addition to some very exciting workshops, attendees will also be able to network with small-business owners from our service area who will be exhibiting their goods and services.”

The LSC-SBDC Small Business Expo takes place May 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 5000 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas.

“Workshops will feature presentations on utilizing Microsoft 365, how to handle a communications crisis, identifying the pain points of growing a business and using Instagram to leverage your brand,” said Lopez.

The event is free to the public. Seating is limited and registration is required to attend the workshops. Please visit LoneStar.edu/SBDC to reserve your seat and learn more.

“This expo is taking place during an exciting time as we celebrate National Small Business Week,” said Tim Jeffcoat, district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration Houston District Office. “It is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business owners alike to take advantage of truly wonderful resources from our partners such as the Lone Star College Small Business Development Center. We are looking forward to participating in the expo and sharing with the audience about U.S. Small Business Administration lending and learning programs.”
