Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Continuing Education Program is now enrolling for its Certified Nursing Assistant program.

The classes begin Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The class is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Kingwood Campus. The class consists of a 64-hour lecture/lab followed by a 44-hr clinical.

“We are excited to meet the needs of students who want to start their career as a CNA and work in a variety of healthcare settings”, said Gail Smith, CE Coordinator for Kingwood Health Science Programs. “Being a Certified Nurse Aid is also a gateway to those who really want to serve in healthcare and become Medical Assistants, LVN’s or RNs.”

Curious about working with Excel or QuickBooks? Do you like working with numbers but need more training in accounting? The Accounting Asst/Bookkeeping Program provides practical and useful skills for the workforce. A new online class begins on February 4, 2025.  

“This is an extremely popular program, and it fills up fast,” said Smith.
