The holiday season is here and Lone Star College-CyFair is the place to bring the family and guests for entertainment that fits everyone’s budget.
LSC-CyFair’s Center for the Arts houses amazing visual and performing arts for all ages, including instrumental and vocal performances for $10 general admission, $5 for senior citizens and free parking.
Enjoy several November performances focused on highlighting the impressive talent of student musicians and special guests. Mark the calendar for two opera workshop performances Nov. 18-19, a combined Symphonic Band and the Symphony Orchestra concert Nov. 22 and a Jazz Ensemble evening Nov. 25.
The Music Department’s fall season of delight and enjoyment continues with the Dec. 3 Percussion Ensemble performance, which also features original compositions by students and faculty, followed with the Dec. 6 Choir Concert.
For the art lovers, LSC-CyFair’s Bosque Gallery presents the uniquely creative semi-annual Student Art Showcase Nov. 21- Dec. 6. This end-of-the-semester show features one-of-a-kind inspirations in two- and three-dimensional design, photography, ceramics, drawing, painting and color theory. Attend the opening reception and awards ceremony to visit with the student artists about their pieces.
Across campus at the library where there are book clubs, story times and programming for all ages year round, the LSC-CyFair Library is celebrating International Games Month this November with Giant Boggle, Life Size Chess, puzzle tables, game nights and more.
