The Lone Star College-CyFair Music Department presents an instrumental evening this spring with the “Pictures at an Exhibition: An Orchestral Suite by Modest Mussorgsky” concert April 10.

Arranged for a full orchestra but featuring LSC-CyFair’s Symphonic Band and String Ensemble members in a winning collaboration, this monumental work is a favorite multi-movement suite by the late Romantic Russian composer, Modest Mussorgsky.

“We want you to experience the unequaled exuberant spectacle and pageantry felt in this profoundly colossal work of epic proportion,” said Dr. John Wolfskill, music co-director with Alan Johnson.

The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held in the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students with valid id. Group discounts are available.
