Interested in earning a GED or improving speaking skills in English? Lone Star College-CyFair’s Continuing Education (CE) Department can help at the May 12 information session.
For those pursuing a higher education, seeking a job or promotion or just wanting to earn a certificate of High School Equivalency, LSC-CyFair offers review courses in preparation for taking the General Educational Development (GED) test. Courses are available in five subjects: literature and the arts, mathematics, science, social studies and writing.
For English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) wanting to enhance their communication skills in English, LSC-CyFair offers courses for the beginner student through high intermediate levels. CE course options include Communication for the Workplace, Writing for the Workplace, Pronunciation/Accent Reduction, Conversation for the Workplace and industry specific courses.
“Join Noemi Silva, CE program coordinator, for an overview of how to enroll in GED or ESOL courses, where to meet with advisors and more at the Thursday information session,” said CE Director Kenya White.
This CE information session will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the MOD 1 building, conference room 105 on the campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
