Lone Star College-CyFair has set yet another milestone with a record-breaking 23,225 student enrollment, the largest enrollment in the college’s 17-year history!

Since opening the Barker Cypress campus with nearly 7,000 students in 2003, student enrollment has steadily risen throughout the years – despite the hurricanes, ice storms and now a global health crisis.  

“LSC-CyFair is not allowing the pandemic to be a barrier to a quality education. With all of our Student Services now available both in person and online, we continue to serve our students in a manner that best meets their needs,” said LSC-CyFair President Dr. Seelpa Keshvala. “We want to assure students that we are here for them every step of their academic journey.”

While the fall semester has begun, there are still 4- to 15-week Late Start class options available. Students can choose from a variety of subjects, courses and start dates.

Late Start registration and other enrollment assistance is available through the Student Outreach Department’s virtual College 101 series, featuring 17 different sessions, such as Financial 101, Admissions 101, Workforce 101, Testing 101 and Campus Life 101.

The Student Services Department now offers in-person assistance with limited capacity at the Barker Cypress campus 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Services include advising, admissions, registration, business office and financial aid help. Virtual services will continue from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
