Interested in participating in a leadership organization that also pays $400 a semester? Apply now for the Student Ambassador Program and be an official representative for Lone Star College-CyFair and Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center.
“The Student Ambassador Program is the premier student leadership organization on campus. Only 20 students are chosen each fall semester to serve as liaisons to current LSC students, prospective students and the Cy-Fair community for the duration of the school year,” said College Relations Director Michelle Tran.
Ambassadors participate in college system and campus events, assist with recruitment of new students, conduct campus tours, do volunteer work in the community and work closely with the college’s adopt-a-school program and other area charitable organizations.
“The Student Ambassador Program has greatly impacted my perspective as a student humanitarian,” said Aaron Monjaraz, who is studying to be an engineer. “It has helped me understand that there are many ways to help out those in need.”
Program participation requirements include:
• 2.5 cumulative GPA (incoming freshman determined by high school GPA)
• Take at least 6 on campus credit hours per semester at LSC-CyFair or LSC- Fairbanks Center
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 semester GPA while in the program
• Complete a minimum of 40 hours of service per semester
Student Ambassador Program applications submitted along with an unofficial transcript, class schedule and work schedule, should be delivered by 5 p.m. July 27 to the College Relations Department at the Barker Cypress campus located in the Conference Center, CENT 155.
