The LSC-Kingwood Concert Choir will host its first recital on campus since 2019.
The Lone Star College-Kingwood Music Department will present its first fall Concert Choir on campus Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall.
“The Concert Choir is back at full capacity, and the students are excited to sing together for a live audience again,” said Todd Miller, DMA, LSC-Kingwood Conductor and Music Professor. “They are a talented group of music majors and non-majors working hard to present this exciting concert.”
The free recital will feature a mixed repertoire of classical and modern works by William Byrd, Johannes Brahms, Elaine Hagenberg, Morten Lauridsen and spiritual arrangements.
“The concert will last 60 minutes, and Robert Hunt (DMA, Music Professor at LSC-Kingwood) will accompany the choir. Everyone is invited to attend,” said Miller.
The LSC-Kingwood Music Program has provided more than 25 years of music on the college campus, has approximately 60 music majors, 28 music faculty and more than 150 people who engage in music-making weekly. This is the Concert Choir’s first performance on campus since 2019. Email Todd.R.Miller@LoneStar.edu for more information.
