Get ready for “Oceans of Possibilities” with cool prizes for participants in the 2022 Summer Reading Program at Lone Star College-CyFair.
With books clubs and reading incentives for all ages, LSC-CyFair’s talented and creative librarians and staff members have planned a summer of exciting programs from June 6 through Aug. 6.
Among the family fun programs are Houston Grand Opera and ballet performances, crocodile and avian presentations, and “mad science” and magic shows, to name a few. These programs are held Wednesdays at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. with free tickets available an hour prior to each program. The full schedule can be found at this link: cflibguides.lonestar.edu/events/children.
In addition, there will be story times, sensory programs, crafts, game nights, Tween book clubs and crafts for younger library patrons. Teenagers have their own book club, book blog, Teen Tuesday crafts, a game night and a Teen Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class. Adults can choose from several book clubs, including a new CyFair Comics Club, and programs as well.
