Get ready for the Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) Open Houses this January over the holiday break and start browsing the spring schedule today.
Lone Star College-CyFair will host an in-person open house from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Dining Commons of the College Center (CENT) building on the campus at 9191 Barker Cypress. In addition, open houses are available at the other LSC colleges in January as well as a virtual open house via zoom set from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 25. Go to LoneStar.edu/all for details.
The ALL program is designed with the busy schedule of active seniors age 50 and better in mind, with most classes one to two hours in length.
“We are excited to offer a mix of online and in-person classes as well as to provide those who don’t have a computer, the option to call in and enjoy lectures by phone,” said Cyndi Seeberger, program manager. “Our schedule includes a vast array of opportunities to learn about art appreciation, financial and legal matters, health and fitness, language and technology, history and travel and much more, that will keep you interested, entertained and informed.”
Benefits of the annual $25 membership includes the low-cost lectures, workshops and seminars, discount pricing on performing arts events, access to college libraries and more.
Another member benefit is that the schedule lists classes by categories not by campus; therefore, members may also choose from classes offered at any of the LSC campuses.
