Faculty members at Lone Star College-Tomball and Lone Star College-Kingwood will be featured in the Lone Star College Kingwood and Tomball Faculty Art Exhibition at the University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Art Gallery through March 25.
The exhibition represents the sixth segment showcasing Houston area artists who teach at Houston area community colleges. The first two exhibitions concentrated on artists working in the Houston Bay Area colleges. The first exhibition featured Lee College, Galveston College, Brazosport College, College of the Mainland, and Alvin Community College. The third, fourth, and fifth exhibitions featured Houston Community College Central, Houston Community College Southwest, and Houston Community College Northwest and Southeast respectively.

Some have been tenured for many years, while others are adjunct or visiting professors,” Nick de Vries, art gallery director at UHCL, said. “Their vitae reveal artists of outstanding stature who have lengthy résumés and are affiliated with outstanding galleries.”
