Fall Registration Begins April 1
Lone Star College-Montgomery has expanded its weekend course offerings, creating a new, flexible and convenient Weekend College for busy students.
Starting April 1, when registration for the fall semester begins, students will be able to enroll in more than 34 courses in 15 subjects offered over the weekend on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. This is more than double the amount of weekend courses previously offered.
In addition, Weekend College courses have been set up in a student-friendly schedule, allowing each student to set the pace for their academic goals. Morning, afternoon, and evening classes are offered, and some courses are even offered in a shorter timeframe than the traditional 16-week semester.
“At LSC-Montgomery, we want to be available whenever our students are ready to learn,” said Dr. Julie Leidig, vice president of instruction at LSC-Montgomery. “As the Weekend College grows, we plan to make it possible for our students to complete an entire two-year degree just by attending on weekends.”
Weekend College is great for students who are busy during the week, want to supplement their weekday schedule of classes or need to complete pre-requisites for a career-focused program.
Students enrolled in weekend classes will still have access to high-quality student services, such as tutoring, library and database access, advising and counseling, and the Wellness Center. In fact, with fewer students on campus, these services—along with parking—will be even more accessible.
Tuition and fees are the same as traditional weekday classes, and no additional application form is needed.
