Lone Star College-Tomball’s Music Department will celebrate “all things Italy” in a Night of Song featuring the best of Italian music. Entitled “That’s Amore!” this unique event will take place on October 4, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the Beckendorf Conference Center. The public is cordially invited to attend.
October is National Italian American Month and, in celebration, LSC-Tomball Voice Studio students will explore Italian language, culture, and music through song and literature of the centuries. Enjoy light refreshments, and learn to gesture like an authentic Italian, in an evening that will culminate in a special version of “That’s Amore!”
“Our Nights of Song occur only once or twice a semester and are an up close and personal way for our student musicians to connect with the community while gaining performance experience,” said Dr. Lisa Morales, LSC-Tomball Fine Arts Chair, music program director, and voice faculty. “These evenings are meant to be fun and interactive – you may just find yourself singing along! We’d love to see our community support these up and coming student musicians.”
All our welcome. The event is free, but donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to the LSC Foundation for scholarships benefitting music students.
