Active adults age 50 and better should mark their calendar for Aug. 24 to learn all about why they should join Lone Star College-CyFair’s Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) program.
The ALL program provides members enjoyable opportunities for fall fellowship and lifelong learning classes - from technology, financial planning and community service projects to literary discussion groups, genealogy, and so much more.
Among the benefits of the annual $25 membership is the option to take classes in person or online at any of the LSC campuses, discount pricing on performing arts events and access to college libraries.
The ALL program at LSC-CyFair will offer some new and exciting classes this fall on podcasting, theatrical improvisation, Mega Ships, investments, gun safety and drawing, just to name a few.
Other ALL fall classes featured at LSC-CyFair will pique a wide range of interests. Classes available for crafters are crochet, beginning pastels, journaling and fused glass. Those interested in culinary arts can choose cooking classes on soups, chicken salads and baked cavatelli. History buffs will find classes on the Roaring 20s, America’s First Ladies, the Suez Canal and Nuremberg. Travelers will enjoy a photo journey to Iceland, New Zealand and Spain. Senior courses will cover AARP Drivers Safety, increasing your mobility, tax pitfalls and retirement strategies.
Start browsing the fall schedule today and then come to the LSC-CyFair August ALL Open House between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Conference Center to meet instructors, become a member and enroll in classes.
