Open auditions will be held Sept. 6 for the fall show of  “A Seagull in Delta” at Lone Star College-CyFair.

Auditions will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at LSC-CyFair in the Main Stage Theatre, 9191 Barker Cypress. Rehearsals will begin Sept. 9.

“A Seagull in Delta” is LSC-CyFair adjunct faculty member Claire Hart-Palumbo’s modern retelling of Anton Chekhov’s “The Seagull.” Like Chekhov’s classic play, it is a story of people searching for love and acceptance, usually from the wrong people, in a world divided by class issues.

Hart-Palumbo will be casting up to six men and eight women actors of all ethnicity. Some roles will be double cast. Readings will be held from the script. No appointment is required. Performances will be held Oct. 13 through Oct. 23.
