Add some delicious creations and meditative poetry to your life in this April’s Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs at Lone Star College-CyFair.
Chef Carol Pock returns to help attendees create their own edible, springtime flowerpot delight with original fruits, cheeses and more in the April 10 “Spring Jarcuterie Flowerpots” program.
Join Joshua Lopez, LSC-CyFair Adjunct English Faculty and published poet, for “A Life in Poetry” April 24 to discuss reading and writing poems as a way of engaging the world and oneself that resists the modern imperative to hurry or to hustle. Learn how poetry helps one become more sensitive to the way language can nurture or harm imaginations and how identities are built within a broader culture.
These free programs will be held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC Room 131.
