Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library will be hosting Workforce Solutions’ free seminar designed to give job-seekers an edge in today’s competitive job market on September 18, 1-3 p.m.
“Using the Internet” is a two-hour seminar on how to access and utilize the wealth of employment information and opportunities available online. How to use job boards, identify job markets, investigate potential employers, and research salary ranges are just some of the topics to be discussed.
The seminar will be followed by a one-hour resume lab (3-4 p.m.). Participants will need their library cards to log in to the computers (for those without a card, a temporary login can be issued) and a jump/flash drive to save their resumes (the resumes can also be sent to a personal e-mail account if a jump drive is not available).
Both the seminar and resume lab will be held in the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library, Room L-207.
For more information or to register for the seminar, call the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library Reference Desk at 832.559.4211. LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball, Texas.
