Congratulations to the Lone Star College-Kingwood Creative Services team. They received five National Council for Media and Public Relations Medallion Awards.
The team received 3 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze in the District 4 competition.
The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at 2-year community and technical colleges.
Creative Services Manager Jason Watson praised his colleagues for their stellar work.
“We are beyond blessed to work with such talented and creative people. Our goal is to always bring forth new ideas that inspire one another, and still have fun in the process.”
Taylor Anderson won two Gold Awards for her work on the LSC-Kingwood 2023 Proud to Be a Coyote Viewbook and Coyotes Circle Flier. She was awarded a Bronze for her Coyote Kickstart Poster.
“It is creatively invigorating to see mine and my colleagues' hard work recognized by fellow industry professionals. I'm continually grateful that I get the opportunity to work with such an amazing team in helping students achieve their dreams at Lone Star College-Kingwood,” Anderson said.
Jose Vela said it was an honor to win a Gold for his promotional video, “Reflecting on Exam Jam with Professors and A Dean at LSC-Kingwood.”
“Like the subjects of this short, I continually strive for my work to be seen as enhancing the student experience.” Vela said. “Students are why we are here, so I’m honored that the content we produce is recognized for being in support of their continued success.”
Alexis Ruiz Alvarado won a Silver for his video short, “A Very Real Weather Alert – 2022 Winter Minis Are Coming!” He’s a former LSC-Kingwood student and now works in the department.
“This achievement would not have been possible without the support and help from everyone involved, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to them. This achievement has ignited a new wave of dedication and enthusiasm that I will continue to bring to our students and community.”
“We are extremely grateful to the NCMPR organization, and everyone involved in the Medallion Awards,” Watson remarked. “LSC-Kingwood has had great success with their award ceremonies, winning 35 awards in 10 years."
