TOMBALL, Texas – LSC-Tomball Art Gallery is featuring an art exhibit until April 27 at the Beckendorf Conference Center.
The exhibit features all of the winners from the Pearl Fincher’s juried student art contest. The Student Art Contest is held each spring and continues to be one of the most anticipated annual events at the Pearl. The contest receives an average of 300 entries each year, out of which 30 student artists are recognized. Students are honored at the contest Awards Ceremony and their artwork featured in an exhibition at the Pearl.
Administered by the museum’s Volunteer Guild, the contest recognizes the artistic achievements of students in Northwest Houston and fosters their continued access to art education opportunities.
The Guild is the largest volunteer corps of the Pearl and actively participates in the daily running of the museum, the funding for museum programs and the promotion and outreach of the museum within the community at large.
