Lone Star College System SBDC welcomes new advisory council members

The Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center announced this week that Rick Hatcher and Mikelyn Martin have joined its advisory council.

The LSCS SBDC assists businesses by providing professional management consulting and training,

“We are delighted to welcome these two professionals to our advisory council,” said Sal Mira, executive director of the SBDC. “Their unique backgrounds and skill sets will provide a wonderful addition to the resources and services we provide.”

Martin is the founder and co-owner of Martin & Green, a woman-owned business whose mission is to simplify accounting for business owners. Mira said that Martin brings a great deal of enthusiasm as well as problem-solving techniques and that she said she is looking forward to employing both as a member of the Advisory Council. 

Hatcher is the president of the Community Chamber of Commerce of East Montgomery County, Texas, Prior to joining the chamber; Hatcher spent 35 years with Entergy, one of the largest electric utility companies in the U.S. He held various positions while there including more than 20 years in economic development, and community development, as well as business recruitment with an emphasis on trade show marketing techniques.

The LSCS SBDC works with companies to help them evolve and grow to compete in today's global economy.
