LSC-Atascocita Center will host an Open House and Fall Festival on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be fun activities, raffle, giveaways and refreshments.
Lone Star College-Atascocita Center is centrally located within the Lake Houston community to offer programs "close to home."
Students can take general core classes toward an associate degree or transfer to a four-year institution, enroll in continuing education (fast-track) courses that lead to employable certificates or learn new skills through the Academy for Lifelong (ALL) Program. Additionally, they have access to various campus resources such as financial aid, advising, admissions, tutoring, and a full-service library.
“LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC-Process Technology Center provide many courses and services to help potential and current students achieve their academic goals,” said Karen Woolley, LSC-Atascocita Center Interim Dean. “Both centers are the closest Lone Star College facilities for residents in Summerwood, Fall Creek, Eagle Springs, Walden, and other subdivisions.”
The public is invited to LSC-Atascocita Center’s Open House and Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This event will give attendees a first-hand glimpse of what the college offers. They will be able to tour the facility, apply for admissions, register for classes, and learn more about available campus resources and student engagement opportunities. Additionally, the event will offer fun activities such as canvas and wooden pumpkin painting, a photo booth, face painting and more. There will be a raffle, giveaways, and refreshments.
“Our goal is to provide fun activities for families in the local community while getting them acquainted with the center,” said Woolley. “We hope attendees will enroll in courses, speak with an advisor, or take the next step in their educational journey while their children have some fun.”
The LSC-Atascocita Center Open House and Fall Festival is one of many enrollment opportunities for Lone Star College’s winter 2022 mini-term and spring 2023 semester.
