Go Back in Time with LSC-CyFair’s Historical Fiction Book Club

Back in Time - Historical Fiction Book ClubFor those who like a little fiction with their history, travel back in time and around the world this spring with Lone Star College-CyFair’s Historical Fiction Book Club, where learning about History is never boring.

““Whether you consider yourself an armchair historian or you have a Ph.D. in History, the monthly book club selections are accessible to a wide audience,” said Regina Vitolo, librarian and book club coordinator. “Our book club titles and discussions examine historical events, people and cultures with the goal of better understanding the present.”

The spring semester book club discussions begin Jan. 5 with Alice Hoffman’s novel “The World That We Knew” set in Berlin in 1941. Also on the list are “Love and Fury” in February, “Conjure Women” in March, “Matrix” in April and “Insurrecto” in May.

This book club meets the first Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Library (LRNC) Room 131. Participants can check out a copy of the monthly book club titles at the library reference desk.
