A variety of fall visual and performing arts highlighting Lone Star College-CyFair’s student and faculty talent can be seen in the Bosque Gallery and in the Main Stage Theatre.
Add a little culture to your year at one or all three art exhibitions starting with “The Origin of the Series: An Evolutionary Tale” featuring the talent of Marguerite Baldwin. Come see her passion in this painting exhibition on display through Sept. 19. Then return to see the creativity of LSC-CyFair’s faculty and students with the “Faculty Art Exhibition” Oct. 1 through Oct. 31 and the “Student Art Exhibition” Nov. 19 through Dec. 5. Meet the artists in person at receptions set for 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19, Oct. 24 and Nov. 21 respectively.
All exhibitions are in the Bosque Gallery in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress. For gallery hours, artist receptions and exhibition information, go to LoneStar.edu/BosqueGallery or call 281.290.5273.
In addition to visual arts, don’t miss LSC-CyFair’s performing arts events starting Nov. 1-Nov. 10 with a drama production “Molly’s Delicious.” Then LSC-CyFair’s Jazz Ensemble takes to the stage Nov. 13 with “JazzRoots.” The Symphonic Band performs Nov. 21 with “Kickin’UpClassics.”
The season concludes in December with two events. Mark the calendar Dec. 3 for the “Pop Singers Concert” highlighting the vocal talents of LSC-CyFair students. Then bring the family Dec. 3 for the choral production “Grace Journey – A Cultural Celebration.”
All performances will be held in the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress. For tickets, group rates and information, go to LoneStar.edu/boxoffice or call 281.290.5201.
