Lone Star College-CyFair’s fall art gallery schedule kicks off with a juried exhibition titled “Incognito” featuring LSC-CyFair art faculty’s intriguing work in painting, design, drawing, ceramics and photography Sept. 12 - Oct. 10.
“Following the theme of Incognito, the polychromatic distorted figure by Jim Hill and surprise emergence of Betty Boop in the dead of night by Natalie Stovall are just two of several works not to be missed in the first exhibit of the semester at the Bosque Gallery,” said Heather Braman, gallery coordinator.
Among the other featured artists are James Campbell, Thomas Clark, Glenn Edwards, Frank Graham, Nancy Hines, Liv Johnson, Rashid Lane, Denise Lorenz and Madison Luetge.
Meet these artists in person at the opening reception from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 which includes 5:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. artist talks. Another opportunity to hear from the artists will be at the Tea+Art+Talk at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 24. There will also be an Academy for Lifelong Learners (A.L.L.) Open House and Coffee at 8 a.m. Oct. 1.
The gallery’s fall semester also features the talent of Jan Saenz with the “Nocturnal Anxiety” exhibition set Oct. 17 - Nov. 14 followed with the Student Art Showcase Nov. 21 - Dec. 12.
The Bosque Gallery is located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday and 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday. For information, go to LoneStar.edu/bosquegallery.
