Become Enchanted at Lone Star College-Montgomery’s Holiday Spectacular

CONROE (November 25, 2019) – Lone Star College-Montgomery’s annual Holiday Benefit Concert has added even more to this holiday extravaganza, making it now a magical Holiday Spectacular. This family-friendly production premiers Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, at 7 p.m. in the LSC-Montgomery Mainstage Theatre.

The Holiday Spectacular will feature more performances than all previous concerts. All the divisions from the Performing Arts Department, including Theatre, Concert and Chamber Choirs, Dance, Jazz Ensemble, and the Symphonic Band, will appear in this year’s performance. Directors Ashley Clos, Emmy Levine, Dr. Mark Marotto, and Cristina Mendoza Padilla have been working tirelessly to create a spectacular filled with new and exciting performances.

This immensely popular concert sold out in 2017 and was only 40 tickets shy of selling out in 2018. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit two different organizations. Friday ticket sales will go to the Education for Tomorrow Alliance, and Saturday’s proceeds will help fund student scholarships for the college’s Department of Music. The Education for Tomorrow Alliance is a nonprofit organization based in Montgomery County, Texas. The nonprofit focuses on connecting and fostering relationships within the business and education communities. LSC-Montgomery is proud to announce EfTA as this year’s beneficiary for the Holiday Spectacular concert to aid in furthering their mission in advancing student success.

“Honoring EfTA with a musical celebration lets us kick off the holidays joyfully while showcasing the great work this organization does,” said President Rebecca Riley, Ph.D. “EfTA supports education and community partnerships for student success through programs such as Next Generation Leadership, Sci-Tech, Career Connections, Future Focus, and student internships.  Now in its 30th year of service, EfTA has provided opportunities for career exploration and STEM competition to thousands of students in our community.”

The first performance is on Friday, December 6, at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets for the Holiday Spectacular cost $10 for general admission, $7 for seniors 55+ and children 12 and under, and $5 for LSC-Montgomery faculty, staff, and students. Tickets can be purchased online at LoneStar.edu/ticket-info. LSC-Montgomery is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
