Lone Star College Tomball Theatre will present "Radium Girls" Feb. 12-14 in the Black Box Theater.
Written by D.W. Gregory and inspired by a true story, "Radium Girls" is set in 1920s when radium was considered a miracle cure. But what happens a group of radium paint workers begin to fall ill with a mysterious disease. The play traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. "Radium Girls" offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth and the commercialization of science.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for the general public. For information, please call 281-357.3654.
