Entergy will chair LSC Foundation StarGala
The Lone Star College Foundation StarGala 2025 will be held May 3. Pictured are the event chairs, Carol Hernandez, Entergy vice president of strategy and performance and Eliecer Viamontes, Entergy president and CEO.

Lone Star College Foundation supports LSC students in pursuing a quality education and gainful employment through various fundraisers, including StarGala, occurring May 3 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. The annual event is made possible by generous donors, including Entergy, a visionary sponsor of this year’s StarGala. Entergy leaders Eliecer Viamontes and Carol Hernandez will co-chair this event.

“As co-chairs, we’re honored to support Lone Star College Foundation and its mission to transform lives through education,” said Viamontes and Hernandez. “At Entergy, we believe that education is key to building stronger communities, brighter futures and a skilled workforce that benefits us all.”

Viamontes is president and CEO of Entergy, responsible for the company’s safe and reliable service, financial performance, customer service, regulatory and public affairs, resource planning, economic development programs and charitable contributions. Hernandez serves as vice president of strategy and performance for Entergy’s procurement and supply chain organization, where she drives strategic initiatives that enhance the company’s efficiency and long-term growth.

“We look forward to celebrating with the community as we work together to open doors for students and provide opportunities that will last a lifetime,” said the StarGala co-chairs.

The LSC Foundation StarGala 2025 theme is “Every Step of the Way.” The evening will include dinner, auctions and entertainment. Proceeds from the event will support LSC students through scholarships that provide relief from financial barriers and access to future employment opportunities.

“This year’s theme honors Lone Star College’s efforts to support students through various phases of their educational journey,” said Nicole Robinson Gauthier, CFRE, LSC Foundation executive director. “The college’s outreach and support include dual credit high school students, college applicants, current students and graduates transferring to a four-year university or entering the workforce. Additionally, Lone Star College offers credit and continuing education programs for those wanting to reskill or enhance their career prospects.”
