In addition to academic achievements, Lone Star College-CyFair recognizes the outstanding achievements of students in the more than 40 college student organizations.
The recent annual Student Awards Banquet highlighted the variety of clubs available and recognized the impact such clubs, students and sponsors, make across the campus and in the community.
Award winners this year include:
Outstanding New Club of the Year: The Wells Project
Outstanding Sponsor of the Year: Frank Codispoti
Outstanding Club Officer of the Year: Abraham Kamara
Outstanding Club Member of the Year: Jose Carlos Ruiz Diaz

This year an Honorary Club of the Year award went to the Tennis Team. With an impressive list of more than 20 community service outreach projects, the Tennis Team also earned the USTA’s National Club of the Year title.
“In addition to the recognition awards, LSC-CyFair student clubs help students gain leadership, organization and teamwork skills; enable students to compete for scholarships; provide opportunities to make a difference on campus and in the community and enhance the overall educational experience of students,” said Cindy Crow, Interim Student Activities Program Manager.
