Learn the impact of early childhood education in a March 29 presentation “Why Montessori Matters: The Impact of the Child Care Crisis” at Lone Star College-CyFair.
As part of LSC-CyFair’s Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Department’s Education Speaker Series, Kevin Kalra, Director of Innovation and Global Strategy at Montessori Preschool at Copperfield, will speak about his experiences and perspectives with early childhood education and the impact it has on the educational system.
Kalra is a graduate of Montessori schools and holds an Ed.M. from Harvard University. He brings a global perspective to this Montessori discussion having advised Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on business engagement in global education and chairing the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Houston Hub.
In addition, he served as Lead Consultant on The Smartest Investment, a joint initiative by UNESCO, UNICEF, the United Nations Global Compact, and the UN Special Envoy for Global Education. His work in sustainability was recognized in 2004, when Houston Mayor Bill White declared March 30 as Kevin Kalra Day.
