Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library will be hosting Workforce Solutions’ free seminar designed to give job-seekers an edge in today’s competitive job market on January 22, 1-3 p.m.
“Networking & Social Media” is a two-hour seminar on how networking and using social media are not limited to making contacts; they’re also for finding unadvertised jobs and discovering company working conditions, as well as managing an online profile that promotes experience, skills and abilities.
The seminar will be followed by a one-hour resume lab (3-4 p.m.). Participants will need their library cards to log in to the computers (for those without a card, a temporary login can be issued) and a jump/flash drive to save their resumes (the resumes can also be sent to a personal e-mail account if a jump drive is not available).
Both the seminar and resume lab will be held in the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library, Room L-207.
For more information or to register for the seminar, call the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library Reference Desk at 832.559.4211. LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway.
