Current and former Construction Trades students at Lone Star College are experiencing the new career benefits with the Path to Pro Network partnership between the college and The Home Depot.
With an increasing need for skilled workers, LSC-North Harris and The Home Depot are committed to training more students to enter the industry while helping them find careers.
“Our partnership with The Home Depot connects our students to thousands of contractors who are looking to hire every day,” said Osvaldo Caballero, director, Construction Technologies, LSC-North Harris. “Programs like the Path to Pro Network align with our LSC Culture to make it easier and more equitable for students to get jobs.”
The network is free to use and strategically built with workforce students in mind. As members, students will create personal profiles to showcase their qualifications, skills, and work portfolio to match with contractors looking to hire.
Students can also connect with industry professionals, receive free training and career development assistance, and explore job boards for open opportunities in their area.
“Partnering with the biggest home improvement industry in the nation is a great honor and gives validity to our workforce programs, which are built for student success,” said Caballero. “The Path to Pro Network is really what LSC-North Harris is all about – careers, not just jobs.”
