To gain a renewed perspective on different cultures and areas of the world, join the lively conversations this spring semester with the Books Without Borders Book Club at Lone Star College-CyFair.
This online book club group reads and discusses books, both fiction and nonfiction, that highlight the literature, culture, environment, and politics worldwide. Co-sponsoring the spring series with the book club are LSC’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the LSC-CyFair Diversity Committee.
“We are excited to help support this library book club’s series because it reflects part of our committee's mission ‘to promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by providing an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone of all backgrounds’ regardless of our differences," said Dr. Jennifer Jenkins, chair of the LSC-CyFair Diversity Committee.
Mark the calendar to join the interactive book discussions with LSC-CyFair facilitators, in person in the library, room 131 (*unless noted) or virtually, at 1 p.m. the third Thursday of the month.
