CONROE (April 27, 2016) – Lone Star College-Montgomery needs your help to offer assistance to students, faculty and staff impacted by the recent flood.
Relief centers will be set up at LSC-Montgomery building C in the Maverick Center and LSC-Conroe Center Room CC-105 Monday, April 25 – Friday, April 29. The relief centers will support students, faculty and staff with:
· Packages of essential items organized by Beta Delta Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa
· Councilors and counseling services
· Information on flood relief assistance
· Applications for LSC Foundation Grants for students and employees affected by the floods
· Extended food pantry hours (LSC-Montgomery only)
Community members looking to help with flood relief efforts can drop off new, unused cleaning supplies, household items, pet supplies, personal hygiene products, school supplies, baby products and child-appropriate toiletries and clothing. Special grants are available for LSC students and employees who have suffered from flood-related damages. Limited funds are available and all funds will be awarded by April 29. LSC students and employees interested in this assistance are urged to contact their college president’s office for more information.
