The Lone Star College Business Success Center is co-hosting a Governor’s Small Business Service Provider workshop.
The free event is in partnership with the Governor’s Office, Tomball Economic Development Corp., the Texas Workforce Commission and the North Houston Association.
The workshop will be held at the LSC-Tomball Beckendorf Conference Center Monday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tim Jeffcoat, district director, U.S. Small Business Administration Houston will deliver the keynote address. The Honorable Gretchen Fagan, city of Tomball mayor and Aisa Showery, small business specialist, office of the Governor will provide welcoming remarks.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for small-business owners and stakeholders to hear from local and state experts about the resources available to them,” said Miguel Lopez, LSC Small Business Development Center executive director. “The event is free and will include breakfast and lunch.”
Attendees will also be able to take part in several workshops featuring members of the North Houston Economic Development Center, the LSC Small Business Development Center, the Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Solutions. Getting started with a business plan, how to develop and train a skilled workforce and accessing capitol options will be examined.
