College students who live in the Conroe, Willis and north Montgomery County areas have a selection of credit classes from which to choose this fall—all offered at Lone Star College-Conroe Center.
Students can choose from the following selection of classes, all of which are transferrable to most four-year universities:
English 1301 (Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30-9:50 a.m.)
History 1301 (Mondays and Wednesdays, 10-11:20 a.m.)
Government 2301 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30-9:50 a.m.)
Psychology 2301 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11:20 a.m.)
“We’ve scheduled these four classes so that a student can take all of them if they like, or they can choose which ones work best for their schedule,” said Dr. Julie Leidig, vice president of instruction at LSC-Montgomery. “This will be the final semester at this location for LSC-Conroe Center. In Spring 2011, our new LSC-Conroe Center campus will open off FM 3083 in north Conroe.”
Students who enroll for these fall classes will be the last students at the old center, but will be able to move into the new center and be part of the “first class” in Spring 2011.
The existing LSC-Conroe Center is located at 102 Longview Street, east of downtown Conroe on Highway 105, just east of the FM 1314 intersection.
Construction on the new 83,000-square-foot LSC-Conroe Center campus is underway, with steel beams and exterior walls now being put in place. The new center is located at 777 N. FM 3083 E., approximately 2 miles east of I-45, near the Lone Star Executive Airport.
