Join the summer celebration of cats and canines featuring an “Adventures UNLEASHED!” theme of fun and educational programs for all ages at Lone Star College-CyFair’s Library.
In conjunction with National Adopt-A-Cat Month, the cat-themed activities kick off June 1 with the “Cat Purrson Pawty" from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the library (LRNC) room 131 and wraps up June 22 with the third annual Purr Paws Cat Café (adoption day) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., also in LRNC 131.
Throughout the month, there will be range of activities such as Cool Cat Yoga tweens and adult sessions, Take-and-Make crafts, story times and book clubs, a scavenger hunt, a LIFE program about Houston-area Cat Cafés, educational programming and more.
Even the library’s online content will be taken over by cats, with social media posts featuring cat adoption stories from the library, cat-themed book recommendations, a digital cat poster contest, just to name a few.
