It’s not too late to take a fall class at Lone Star College

Lone Star College offers a variety of programs and courses tailored to fit students’ needs.

Students who need to take a quick course before the fall semester ends can enroll now in LSC’s second eight-week session which takes place Oct. 26-Dec. 18. This accelerated option still allows students to learn the same material and earn full credits as if they attended a traditional 16-week course.

“This shorter term allows students, with limited time, a chance to earn a college education,” said Dwight Smith, Ed.D., LSC Vice Chancellor Academic and Workforce Success. “It’s never too late to earn a college education, and we have many tools and resources to help you be successful.”

LSC’s mission is to provide comprehensive educational opportunities and programs to enrich lives. Additionally, the college acts as a bridge for students who need a fresh start. LSC-CyFair Student Eric Rivas said his college experience matured him and put him on a successful track toward a bright future.

“From being an uninspired kid just riding life out to becoming an ambitious student who dreams of success, Lone Star College shifted not only the course of my academic career but of my life, said Rivas. “Salvaging my ambition inside the classroom and out, Lone Star College helped me see a future I couldn’t see for myself.”

LSC’s second eight-week courses are available in-person, online or hybrid at all LSC campuses and centers. They fit many academic and career goals toward certificates, associate degrees, university transfer, or gainful employment in the workforce. View LoneStar.edu/Registration for more information.
